Autumn is here and with it comes Halloween, my all time favorite holiday. When I step outside and see cotton cobwebs and Styrofoam tombstones, my insides jump for joy! I mean really, who doesn't love Halloween? Its the one day a year that you get to dress up like a weirdo and not be judged for it! There's candy, costumes, parties, decorations and everything about it is so exciting to me.
Maybe my love is so strong because I was raised to love this holiday. My father was a horror makeup artist for a few commercials and even a movie back in the 80's. He also did makeup for mock accidents while being a medic in the army, and was even a clown for a few years. I remember one year when I was little I wanted to be a cute witch for Halloween and he did my makeup for me. I walked away with a green face and giant wart on my nose. NOT what I was looking for, but the experience stuck with me.
